A Multi-Sensory Approach

The Seedlings Early Childhood Education Curriculum focuses on all areas of a child's growth helping them to achieve their full potential. By seeing letters, signing words and hearing sounds, children learn through a multi-sensory approach which includes enrichment programs for:

• STREAM (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art & Math) - encourages analytical thought, reasoning skills and critical thinking while sparking creativity.
• Reading & Writing Readiness - features Handwriting Without Tears® with hands-on lessons that develop motor skills and prepares children to read and write.
• Singing Sprouts - explores music through singing, movement, instruments, a variety of cultures and styles, as well as rhythms and patterns.
• Spanish Sprouts - teaches the Spanish basics for counting, colors, readings and every day communication.
• Signing Sprouts - fosters communication and language development.
• Yoga & Mindfulness - relieves stress, calms minds and nervous systems while helping to release negative emotions and gain independence and coping skills.

The term "daycare" is often used interchangeably to mean a babysitting service. This is not Lightbridge Academy; we are so much more than just a daycare! We play a transformative role in the lives of families and we take this very seriously. Our proprietary early childhood education curriculum impacts the "whole" child in a multitude of ways. • ParentView® Internet Monitoring System - Enables you to stay connected, all day, any day in real time! Login and watch your child having fun and engaged in learning activities throughout the day.
• Peek-of-the-Week - Stay one step ahead of your child's events and activities. You will receive these Peek-of-the-Weeks to keep you informed of the curriculum, activities, special visitors and all that is taking place the following week.
• Meal Plan - Lightbridge Academy has nutritious meal options available to choose. We make sure to appeal to even the most finicky eaters, and you can be sure your child is happy and eating well.
• Snack Program – Nutritious snacks are provided for children to eat in the morning and afternoon including fruits, vegetables, whole grains and protein options they are sure to enjoy!

THE IMPORTANT PRESCHOOL YEARS

Our proprietary Seedlings Early Childhood Education Curriculum utilizes theme-based lessons to strengthen their emerging skills in reading, writing, science, technology, and math. Pre-K readiness is fostered using a multi-sensory approach to learning. We encourage discovery through teacher guided instruction and child-led exploration focused on effective communication, the ability to follow instruction, and how to work cooperatively with peers. Enrichment programs such as Spanish Sprouts, Signing Sprouts, Singing Sprouts, Yoga & Mindfulness, and Handwriting Without Tears® expand on key building blocks that support our multi-sensory approach. By embracing every moment as an opportunity to learn, all developmental areas are met, unlocking every child's potential.

• Creative Arts & Music: Together, we explore tempos and rhythms, sing in groups, learn about instruments of all kinds and create beautiful artwork, thanks to increasing hand-eye coordination.
• Physical & Well-Being: Learning to live a healthy, active life begins in the preschool years. Large motor activities along with small muscle strength are both necessary for building fine-motor skills and healthy bodies. They're developing large motor skills for sports and dance, and fine motor skills for writing and playing music.
• Language & Literacy: The preschool years are critical for language, literacy and a love of reading. Together with fostering verbal communication, reading and writing continue to develop through creative journaling and a classroom filled with labeled items expanding their vocabulary and sight word knowledge.
• Mathematics & Science: One day it's interactive learning on the whiteboard visiting an ocean through underwater webcams and the next day it's STEAM activities or exploring abstract geometric patterns.
• Social & Emotional: Children are building confidence and self-esteem by choosing playtime partners, forming close bonds, and taking care of personal needs all by themselves.
• Cognitive: The development of reasoning skills allows preschool children to create innovative solutions as well as the ability to persist in solving difficult problems. It's all about the individual as we learn through a variety of themes and styles, so every child progresses naturally and without frustration.

THE PLACE TO PRESCHOOL

Preschool classrooms are big, bright and cheery, with lots of room to explore and space to create. A place where teachers, parents and children feel comfortable and at-home. Arranged in center-based learning environments, your child can follow their interests to the Building Center, Imagination & Expression Center, Reading Center or one of many others. With fun-filled and age-appropriate puzzles, manipulatives, games and toys, children love learning. Interactive white boards and iPad technology tables capture the attention of students. Teachers foster active participation and children are engaged through a stimulating multimedia learning experience.

CONNECTING WITH PARENTS

As your child prepares for pre-kindergarten, you'll want to follow their progress closely. You never have to miss a special moment especially as your child begins learning to read and write! Here's how we support you and help you stay "in the know":

• Parent eCommunication App - Receive reminders and notifications of your child's achievements, photos, video clips, food schedules and more every day.
• Peek-of-the-Week - Stay one step ahead of your child's events and activities. Peek-of-the-Weeks are created to keep you informed of the curriculum, activities, special visitors and all that will take place the following week. You will receive these electronically or in-hand each week.
• Meal Plan - Lightbridge Academy has nutritious options available for you to choose from. We make sure to appeal to even the most finicky eaters, and you can be sure your preschooler is happy and eating well.
• Snack Program - Your child's health and safety is our number one priority. This includes the snacks provided for them to eat during morning and afternoon time. Healthy options include fruits, vegetables, whole grains and protein options.

Our facilities follow clear guidelines for cleaning and sanitizing classrooms - including frequently touched surfaces and toys - throughout the day and in the evening.

Above and beyond the health and safety requirements for any child care system, our centers are installing an enhanced air purification and filtration system with Advanced Oxidation Technology. Similar in design to what is used in healthcare, food processing plants, and other highly sensitive environments, this system continuously purifies the air and sterilizes all visible surfaces significantly reducing infectious airborne pathogens including COVID-19 by purifying the air and removing airborne particulates through HEPA filters.

This state-of-the-art technology helps to ensure that Lightbridge Academy is safe and secure. From coded entry to silent alarms to internal video monitoring and limited points of entry, our security system, emergency drills and protocols are some of the most advanced in the industry.

It’s not enough for just a few staff members to be CPR and first-aid certified, everyone must achieve this certification. In addition, every staff member must meet or exceed state-mandated educational requirements and pass thorough background checks to ensure safety for all.

In addition to inspections by state licensing agencies, each center must adhere to Lightbridge Academy quality standards which may exceed state requirements. A quality assurance team representative performs an unannounced inspection of every center to ensure compliance with all requirements from Lightbridge Franchise Company, franchisor of Lightbridge Academy.
