A Multi-Sensory Approach

The Seedlings Early Childhood Education Curriculum focuses on all areas of a child's growth helping them to achieve their full potential. By seeing letters, signing words and hearing sounds, children learn through a multi-sensory approach which includes enrichment programs for:

• STREAM (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art & Math) - encourages analytical thought, reasoning skills and critical thinking while sparking creativity.
• Reading & Writing Readiness - features Handwriting Without Tears® with hands-on lessons that develop motor skills and prepares children to read and write.
• Singing Sprouts - explores music through singing, movement, instruments, a variety of cultures and styles, as well as rhythms and patterns.
• Spanish Sprouts - teaches the Spanish basics for counting, colors, readings and every day communication.
• Signing Sprouts - fosters communication and language development.
• Yoga & Mindfulness - relieves stress, calms minds and nervous systems while helping to release negative emotions and gain independence and coping skills.

The term "daycare" is often used interchangeably to mean a babysitting service. This is not Lightbridge Academy; we are so much more than just a daycare! • ParentView® Internet Monitoring System - Enables you to stay connected, all day, any day in real time! Login and watch your child having fun and engaged in learning activities throughout the day.
• Peek-of-the-Week - Stay one step ahead of your child's events and activities. You will receive these Peek-of-the-Weeks to keep you informed of the curriculum, activities, special visitors and all that is taking place the following week.
• Meal Plan - Lightbridge Academy has nutritious meal options available to choose. We make sure to appeal to even the most finicky eaters, and you can be sure your child is happy and eating well.
• Snack Program – Nutritious snacks are provided for children to eat in the morning and afternoon including fruits, vegetables, whole grains and protein options they are sure to enjoy!

EVERY INTERACTION AN OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN

Children thrive and develop in different ways so it is our goal to cultivate a stimulating environment that expands their innate abilities through various learning areas. Our educators encourage children with a "learning is fun" philosophy through play and positive reinforcement and build upon the skills they acquire at various ages and stages of their development. Each classroom is designed with learning centers to offer children the ability to engage in teacher-led activities, child-led interests and individual play.

HOW DO WE DO THIS?

• Our lesson plans build on the skills each child acquires at various ages and stages of development, in accordance with the theories of Piaget.
• Each child is afforded the opportunity to gain information in the way he/she naturally gravitates to, as recommended by Gardner.
• Aligning with the thinking of Montessori, we focus on the development of the whole child.
• As Malaguzzi recommended, child observations are respected and used to aid in planning for child-led exploration.
• In agreement with the philosophy of Fröbel, we acknowledge the importance of play in a child's growth.

Accompanied by music, simple games and at-home activities, the exclusive program also helps children to release negative emotions while gaining independence and coping skills.

Our facilities follow clear guidelines for cleaning and sanitizing classrooms - including frequently touched surfaces and toys - throughout the day and in the evening.

Above and beyond the health and safety requirements for any child care system, our centers are installing an enhanced air purification and filtration system with Advanced Oxidation Technology. Similar in design to what is used in healthcare, food processing plants, and other highly sensitive environments, this system continuously purifies the air and sterilizes all visible surfaces significantly reducing infectious airborne pathogens including COVID-19 by purifying the air and removing airborne particulates through HEPA filters.

This state-of-the-art technology helps to ensure that Lightbridge Academy is safe and secure. From coded entry to silent alarms to internal video monitoring and limited points of entry, our security system, emergency drills and protocols are some of the most advanced in the industry.

It’s not enough for just a few staff members to be CPR and first-aid certified, everyone must achieve this certification. In addition, every staff member must meet or exceed state-mandated educational requirements and pass thorough background checks to ensure safety for all.

In addition to inspections by state licensing agencies, each center must adhere to Lightbridge Academy quality standards which may exceed state requirements. A quality assurance team representative performs an unannounced inspection of every center to ensure compliance with all requirements from Lightbridge Franchise Company, franchisor of Lightbridge Academy.
